Haileigh over heard B & I talking about "a dirty old man" I ran into the other day. Haileigh walks in the room, attempting to use the phrase...
Hai: Mom, remember that one time?
Me: Which time?
Hai: The time the guy broke into your car?
Me: I have NO idea what you're talking about Hai...
Hai: You know! The time with the old dirty man, the one who had ice cream all over him!
(And I thought being a mom meant I hear everything. Boy was I wrong! Haileigh thinks she's so grown up using grown up phrases. I never thought dirty old man would be over heard and misconstrued as old dirty man by one of our children. Too funny!)

Kids say the funniest things...
Hai: Dad, I'm hungry. My movie is done. When is football EVER going to be over?
B: Not for awhile kiddo. Why don't you rub my feet?
*Haileigh quickly runs to get her sweet scented Disney Princess lotion*
B: Haileigh, thanks for rubbing my feet.
Hai: Dad! I'm not doing this anymore. Your feet smell bad. Like stinky cotton candy!

Quick catch up - Motivate Me Monday!
It's been awhile since I posted last. There is a lot going on right now. Work is crazy hectic, B's joined a men's football league, H1 is spending A LOT of time with friends, H2 is causing me to go gray, and little B still has no teeth!
Can I just say, how cute is my nephew?!?! Born Oct 6, at 3 months old he is already a lady's man! Hello Ladies:

2009 was going to be the year that I stayed on top of everything (bills, filing, laundry, chores, cooking, cleaning, grocery shopping, etc). It's looking like it will be more of a year focused around health first, sanity second. I'm working on a triathalon training program. December was a month of walking/jogging. January is all about cycling and strength training. I'm focused on each week and individual workout rather than "what's next?". I think my body is finally starting to remember that it would rather be thin than fluffy! If you need me in the afternoons, you can find me on my bike, riding with B!
This week we have plans to haul items to the dump, clean the walls and base boards, organize the stockpile, donate clothes to GoodWill, and maybe get the girls' computer set up. We have a mean game of Disney Princess Monopoly to finish and library books to read. There are tomatoes to can too. Any suggestions on good recipe to throw the lovely tomatoes into?
I've decided to start posting regularly. I miss capturing the day to day, to be able to look back. I'm going to ask H1 to help me out by completing a guest post. Maybe she can post 3 times this week, once about her, once about H2 and once about little B? That would be fun to see what she comes up with.

That's all for now. Thinking of you, from warm, sunny 75 degree Phoenix.
